I had the same problem you have

I wanted to talk instead of type. Just... speak my thoughts and have them appear as text. Sounds simple, right? I thought so too. Then I went looking for solutions.

Here's what I tried

There are some solid options out there. Seriously. SuperWhisper, Aqua Voice, Wisprflow, Typeless, Willow Voice — these are real products built by real people and some of them are excellent.

Haven't heard of any of these? Go try them. I'm serious. They're good apps made by good people.

Here's what bugged me

Every single one of them wanted me to:

• Download a 100+ MB app
• Create an account
• Verify my email
• Maybe install some system extension
• Grant a bunch of permissions
• Wonder why it needs to drain my laptop battery

All I wanted was to speak and get text. The friction was killing me. I'd have a thought, want to capture it, and by the time I'd set everything up... the thought was gone.

So I built the tab version

The idea was stupid simple:

Open a tab. Start talking. Get text. Done.

No download. No signup. No 100MB install. No Mac-only nonsense. Just a browser tab that works anywhere — Windows, Mac, Linux, whatever. If you have a browser and a microphone, you're good to go.

I actually use this daily

This isn't marketing. Here's my actual workflow:

(You can set up something similar on Mac with Raycast or Keyboard Maestro, or on Linux with whatever hotkey daemon you prefer.)

Who's behind this

An independent builder who wanted voice-to-text without the usual setup.

There's no "we" here. It's just me. I built this because I needed it, and I figured others might need it too. The principle is simple: bring voice-to-text out with a click of a button. No friction. No BS. Just works.
